Harry Darbee was the author of the classic book “Catskill flytier: My life, times, and techniques”

The Darbees are members of the The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame.

It's not every day that you get a chance to own a piece of American fly fishing history.
When I get time I will list a few of these books here.

My great uncle Walt Theimer made the fly tying vices for the Darbees,
 as shown in the bookplate, and fished with Harry Darbee.
He once told me that Elsie did most of the tying
and Harry did most of the fishing.
I still have one of my uncle's vices.
